Hans Burri Feinmechanik expands capacities

Unterägeri - Hans Burri Feinmechanik AG has completed the move to its new location in Unterägeri in the canton of Zug. The specialist for precision blades now occupies a building with a production area of 1,000 square metres. The expansion further increases flexibility for customers.

The operations of Hans Burri Feinmechanik AG have now fully relocated to a new company building in the Unterägerige industrial estate. With the new location, the company is focussing on growth, according to a statement. The site comprises a total of 2,500 square metres. Around 1,000 square metres are currently allocated for production, which is more than double the production area of the previous site of 380 square metres.

“With this important step, we aim to show our existing and new customers that we can keep pace with their growth," Co-Managing Director Andy Burri is quoted as saying. He recently took over the management of the company from Peter Burri together with his brother Daniel. The new management duo had previously communicated their plans to expand both the customer base in the cable industry and the existing sales markets.

The new location offers the opportunity to meet customer requirements even better, writes the company. There is space for modern and larger systems or machines. Through the move, the company has increased its productivity by improving the working atmosphere and processes, it says. “The move has given us many more options. We look forward to receiving your enquiry," Peter Burri is quoted as saying. He ran the company for 20 years before handing it over to his sons. He is the son of founder Hans Burri.

Since 1972, the original equipment manufacturer has supplied many machine manufacturers in the wire processing industry and has been a trusted name in precision blades, special tools and machine parts. Its core areas of expertise are stripping, slitting and cutting. ce/yvh
