Vettel and Neumühle pay tribute to Aryton Senna with circular products

Zurich - Sebastian Vettel has teamed up with the Zurich-based fashion brand Neumühle to launch two circular products that pay tribute to Ayrton Senna. The t-shirt and balaclava are made from recyclable materials. They are intended to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the death of the Brazilian racing driver.

Sebastian Vettel, the four-time Formula 1 World Champion, is working together with the Zurich-based fashion brand Neumühle in order to commemorate Ayrton Senna, the Brazilian racing driver and Vettel’s hero who tragically died on May 1, 1994 during the San Marino Grand Prix. The Senna Tribute 2024 collection comprises a t-shirt made of organic cotton woven in Portugal and a balaclava, a garment worn by racing drivers underneath their helmets, made in Germany using Merino wool.

“The collaboration between Sebastian Vettel and Neumühle unites the commitment and values for positive change towards a circular economy”, as the company writes in a press release. Vettel has been involved in environmental projects for many years and Neumühle exclusively uses long-lasting, functional and recycled materials to manufacture its products. The company also works with local manufacturers.

Vettel came up with the design for the t-shirt in collaboration with the agency Orel Communication based in Stuttgart. The front of the yellow t-shirt, which features green and blue stripes reminiscent of the Brazilian’s helmet design, bears the slogan #Forever, with Senna printed on the rear. The materials used for the t-shirt and balaclava are certified and comprise organic mono-fabrics. As such, for recycling purposes, only the label must simply be removed.

The Senna collection is available to purchase via Sebastian Vettel’s website until the spring of 2025. Vettel ended his Formula 1 career in 2022 and is today actively engaged in climate protection projects, in addition to advocating the imposition of speed limits on German highways. ce/js
