Pix4D teams up with Topcon for geopositioning and photogrammetry
Prilly/Livermore - Pix4D and Topcon Positioning Systems have reached a strategic agreement in the areas of geopositioning and photogrammetry. Through this partnership, Topcon will become a reseller of Pix4D’s photogrammetry software portfolio.
(CONNECT) Pix4D, the photogrammetry software specialist based in Prilly near Lausanne in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland, has entered into a strategic agreement with Topcon Positioning Systems, further details of which can be found in a press release. Headquartered in Livermore in the US State of California, Topcon is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of precision measurement and workflow solutions for the global construction, geospatial and agriculture markets.
Topcon will become an authorized reseller of the Pix4D photogrammetry software portfolio, which provides greater access to high-precision positioning and 3D mapping technologies. According to the press release, the portfolio is aimed at professionals active in fields such as surveying and mapping, architecture, engineering and construction, as well as energy and utility infrastructure, and public safety and forensics.
The agreement on this close collaboration with Topcon is said to be “an important milestone in Pix4D’s growth strategy”, explains Andrey Kleymenov, CEO at Pix4D. “A combination of precision positioning technology from Topcon and advanced photogrammetry and GeoFusion algorithms from Pix4D creates a powerful set of solutions for professionals in the utilities, infrastructure, and horizontal construction markets globally”, he adds.
