Bybit preparing the ground for expansion in Switzerland
Dubai/Zug - Bybit is demonstrating its presence on the Swiss market. The Dubai-based crypto exchange recently sponsored two major crypto and Web3 events in Switzerland: the Swiss Summer Web3Fest and the Crypto Valley Conference.
Bybit has laid the groundwork in Switzerland for potential partnerships and the expansion of Bybit Institutional in the country. The world’s second-largest crypto exchange by trading volume, which is based in Dubai, provided financial support for two of the most important crypto events in the country this summer, strengthening its visibility in the local blockchain industry in the process.
As Bybit announced, its sponsorship of the Swiss Summer Web3Fest helped to foster “valuable interactions”. To kick off the event, Bybit hosted an exclusive dinner at Shed Zug together with the Zug-based web3 venture builder Inacta which operates in Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates. Zug Finance Minister Heinz Tänner opened the event, which, according to the information, brought together more than 100 institutional investors, asset managers and high-frequency traders
In addition, Bybit sponsored the networking lunch at the sixth edition of the Crypto Valley Conference, which was also held in Zug. Representatives from businesses, start-ups, universities and governments convened over the course of the two days of the event. At its booth, Bybit International provided information on its product range and explored opportunities for collaboration, further details of which can be found in another company press release.
At the Point Zero Forum 2024 in Zurich on the future of global finance at the start of July, Bybit CEO Ben Zhou underlined during the meeting entitled “Bridging Finance: How Digital Assets Enhance Financial Services and Vice Versa” that his company is actively involved in projects exploring the tokenization of real world assets. The aim here, he states, is to unlock the value of traditional assets for crypto users. “The future of finance is undeniably intertwined with Web3”, Zhou explains, “and those who fail to adapt risk losing ground”. ce/mm
