VirtaMed launches Simulator Olympics in the USA
Schlieren/Lithia - VirtaMed from Schlieren in the Swiss canton of Zurich is running the VirtaMed AG ArthroS Simulator Olympics 2024 until 23 August. The online competition will see orthopaedic specialists from the USA compete to be the best in the use of VirtaMed's medical simulator.
VirtaMed has launched the VirtaMed AG ArthroS Simulator Olympics 2024 competition in the USA. The three-stage competition will determine the best orthopaedic specialists in the use of the simulator, according to a LinkedIn post from the company. The winners in the three categories – FAST, Knee and Shoulder – will be announced on 23 August. Each winner will receive the ‘Golden Scope’. FAST stands for Fundamentals of Arthroscopy Surgery Training. Participation in the Simulator Olympics is open only to United States residents.
According to the invite, no sign-up is required to take part. The courses will be available on ArthroS – FAST, Knee and Shoulder simulators from the start date. The only requisites are that the simulator is online and the Connect programme is switched on.
The qualifying round runs until 9 August. It will be followed by the first round of the competition on the simulator, from 12 to 16 August, and the semi-final from 19 to 21 August. It will conclude with the two-day final. The winners will be announced on Friday 23 August.
