LGT claims five prizes at the Private Banking Awards

Vaduz - LGT has been named as the winner of five “Euromoney” awards. In Europe, the bank took top spot for ESG Investing, Family Office Services and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals. For “Euromoney”, LGT is also the best private bank in the Middle East and the market leader in Austria in the area of ESG Investing.

At the Global Private Banking Awards 2023, which are presented by the London-based trade magazine “Euromoney”, LGT claimed five awards as the best private bank. In Europe, LGT claimed the awards in the categories of ESG Investing, Family Office Services and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI; i.e. people worth more than 30 million US dollars). LGT was also named the best private bank in the Middle East, while the international private banking and asset management group claimed top spot in Austria for ESG Investing as well.

“There is a fine balance between a very strong tradition and the desire to reinvent itself: it would seem that LGT has managed to navigate between these two key aspects of its identity”, the judging panel explains in a press release issued by LGT.

The fact that LGT has achieved top spot in several different categories is “enormously” pleasing, according to Olivier de Perregaux, CEO LGT Private Banking. “ESG and net zero are very important topics for us”, he explains, adding that the bank is keen to play its part in the fight against climate change. “The UHNWI and Family Office Services awards are testimony to the fact that our holistic wealth solutions are tailored to the needs and often complex financial situations of ultra-high-net-worth clients and families”, he concludes in the press release.

This year, more than 220 private banks and asset management firms submitted written applications to “Euromoney”. The applications were reviewed and assessed by an external jury comprising experienced private banking experts as part of a multi-stage process. mm
