Katadyn to present latest water and nutrition solutions in Dubai

(CONNECT) The Katadyn Group AG from Kemptthal in the canton of Zurich will showcase its latest product innovations at the Dubai International Human Aid and Development Conference & Exhibition (DIHAD), as detailed in a statement. The company is a specialist for self-sufficiency in relation to food and drinking water, offering specialized products and solutions used by humanitarian aid organizations. The company’s portfolio includes the brands Katadyn, Trek’n Eat, AlpineAire, Optimus, Spectra Watermakers and Micropur, among others.

The company will showcase desalination systems, filtration solutions, and water purifiers at the trade fair, including the Aquifer 3000, the Katadyn Rapidyn Gravity Filter 10L, the Katadyn BeFree Gravity Water Filtration System 3L, the Katadyn BeFree AC Filter, and the Katadyn Explorer Pro Filter. In addition, the company will showcase its NRG-5 emergency food rations and its Trek’n Eat freeze-dried outdoor meals. 

According to Katadyn, the Aquifer 3000 is the highlight of the products it will be presenting. This is a portable desalination unit with the ability to produce up to 11,000 liters of drinking water per day. “Based on the WHO standards, it can serve up to 735 people in emergency situations providing the necessary water for drinking, basic hygiene needs, and basic food hygiene”, as the company explains in the statement. Tool-free assembly, intuitive controls, and quick set-up are said to make this product ideal for disaster relief and humanitarian missions.

Katadyn is taking part in the 22nd Dubai International Human Aid and Development Conference & Exhibition as an exhibitor in the SWISS Pavilion. The conference for humanitarian aid and development is set to take place August 24-26 at the Dubai World Trade Center. ce/nta
