Rado is the official timekeeper at the ATP tennis tournament in Dallas
Lengnau/Frisco - Rado makes its debut as official timekeeper at the Nexo Dallas Open, which runs until February 15. The Swatch Group division is also celebrating 40 years of involvement in tennis with the special edition Rado Captain Cook x Tennis watch.
(CONNECT) The watch manufacturer Rado, which is part of the Swatch Group and based in Lengnau in the Swiss canton of Bern, has installed special corner clocks throughout the venue at the Nexo Dallas Open in Dallas, Texas. According to a statement, the clocks display both the match duration and the current time. This year, the ATP 500 event moved to its new venue at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco near Dallas. The venue is the training center of the Dallas Cowboys American football team.
This is one of only two ATP 500 tournaments in the US and the only indoor hard court event on the ATP Tour. The once regional tournament is still dominated by North American players. However, the 32 participants in the 2026 tournament also include players from Canada, Norway, Croatia, Italy, France, Spain, Serbia, and Bulgaria, according to the statement.
"The Nexo Dallas Open has completely reinvented itself over the last few years, and that's a quality we admire at Rado,” RADO CEO Adriam Bosshard is quoted as saying. “The Nexo Dallas Open brings energy and momentum to tennis, which feels like a great fit for us as we celebrate our 40-year history with the sport, and as we look to the future.”
Rado has been supporting tennis since 1985, serving as the official timekeeper at several major ATP and WTA tournaments, including in Vienna, Munich, Gstaad, Basel, and Acapulco. To mark this 40th anniversary, the company has launched the limited edition Rado Captain Cook x Tennis timepiece. Its EasyClip system is designed to allow the quick release of the wristband. Three additional NATO-style textile straps are supplied with the watch, according to the statement. ce/mm
