Singapore Opportunity Index recognizes Swiss companies

Singapore - The new Singapore Opportunity Index has named 300 companies as Singapore's best employers. Among them are five members of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Singapore – CA Indosuez, Swiss RE, Roche Diagnostics, ABB, and EY Corporate Advisors.

(CONNECT) Singapore's Ministry of Manpower, National Trades Union Congress, and National Employers' Federation have published a list of the 300 top employers in the country. According to a statement, the list, published in January, is based on the new Singapore Opportunity Index (SOI), which measures how employers support the professional development of their employees and improve their socioeconomic status. Among the companies honored are CA IndosuezSwiss Re AsiaRoche Diagnostics Asia PacificABB, and EY Corporate Advisors, all of whom are members of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Singapore.

The SOI was developed by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower in collaboration with the Singapore University of Social Sciences and the Burning Glass Institute. It measures how career mobility is forged in the workplace, using objective, verified data on employment outcomes collected by the Singaporean government from the country's 1,500 largest organizations. The aim of the index is to provide employers and job seekers with a transparent overview of career development, inclusion, and competitiveness in the Singaporean labor market.

CA Indosuez, Swiss Re Asia, Roche Diagnostics Asia Pacific, ABB, and EY Corporate Advisors are in the top 20 per cent of organizations listed in the SOI.
