ABB opens new Center in Mexico

San Pedro Garza Garcia/Zurich - ABB is opening a fifth branch in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon. The Commercial Operations Center in San Pedro Garza Garcia will employ 120 members of staff in its Electrification business. This opening is part of the company’s expansion strategy in Central and Latin America.

(CONNECTABB is opening a fifth branch in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon. The Commercial Operations Center in San Pedro Garza Garcia will employ 120 specialists in its Electrification business. This opening is part of the expansion strategy in Central and Latin America.

The Center will handle tasks such as project management, customer service and business intelligence for the Swiss company. According to a press release, ABB is planning to collaborate with Mexican universities for the recruitment of local talent. The Center aims to improve the general conditions for solutions in ABB’s Electrification business.

We are proud to be part of this thriving tech space in Mexico,” says Arturo Castillo, Country Holding Officer of ABB Mexico. Emilia Pfeifer, Executive Director of the Swiss-Mexican Chamber of Commerce & Industry, congratulated the company.

ABB’s Electrification business offers an extensive portfolio of products, from substation to socket. The offering also includes innovations such as EV infrastructure, solar inverters and automation solutions for energy distribution.

ABB has been represented in Mexico for almost 80 years and currently has over 6,200 employees there. In the state of Nuevo Leon alone, ABB has nearly 2,000 employees. ce/ja
