SUSI Partners agrees sale of wind farms
Zug - SUSI Partners has sold onshore wind farms in France and Finland. With the sale of a total of six wind farms, the Zug-based investment management firm has now divested 60 percent of the assets under the SUSI Renewable Energy Fund II.
(CONNECT) SUSI Partners, an investment management firm based in Zug, has sold a total of six onshore wind farms in its portfolio located in France and Finland. As detailed in a press release, the transactions come as part of the divestment of the SUSI Renewable Energy Fund II (SREF II), for which 60 percent of the assets have now been sold to new owners in Europe.
The wind farms in France and Finland boast a total capacity of 80 megawatts and each year generate 223 gigawatt hours of electricity. This is sufficient to cover the energy requirements of 60,000 households and at the same time accounts for savings of more than 275,000 tons of CO2 emissions.
The three wind farms in France were acquired by Watts Green, an infrastructure management firm based in the Belgian capital of Brussels. The Finnish portfolio has been sold to the local operator Locus Energy.
SUSI launched SREF II in 2014 and amassed a mixed portfolio of solar and wind power plants. The company purchased various facilities across Europe and put them into commercial use. In cooperation with service providers for the commercial and technical monitoring of the plants, SUSI guaranteed protection against losses and stable profits on the basis of long-term power purchase agreements, as the company writes in the press release.
Following the sale of the French and Finnish wind farms, the company has now sold 60 percent of the assets under SREF II. According to the information, this has secured “attractive value” for SUSI’s institutional clients and their beneficiaries. ce/ww
