The Swiss American Chamber of Commerce Southern California will hold its Avantgarde Award Gala 2024 at the private California Club in Los Angeles on November 8. The evening is dedicated to innovation and charity. Tickets are available online.
The highlight of the sophisticated networking event for Swiss-American management, partners, and innovators is the presentation of the Avantgarde Award 2024. This recognizes an organization or individual person in the USA that has made a significant contribution to the field of innovation and social engagement. The prize is awarded in collaboration with the University of Southern California and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich and honors those “whose vision and work are advancing Swiss-American values of quality, reliability, and excellence," according to a press release.
This year, the gala will present its social responsibility initiative in collaboration with the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. A silent auction will offer the opportunity to gain special items, from memorabilia signed by Swiss tennis champion Stan Wawrinka and LA Kings ice hockey player Kevin Fiala to a raclette dinner at the Swiss Ambassador’s residence.
The speakers this year are Mary Pang, Member of the Board of Directors of the Zurich-based investment company Vontobel, Samantha Harnett, Chief Legal Officer Logitech Group, a computer periphery manufacturer located in Lausanne, and Marianne Späne, Chief Business Officer at the pharmaceutical supplier Siegfried from Zofingen in the Swiss canton of Aargau.
